We're looking for a senior System Administrator who will take ownership of sustaining and evolving a high-performance operational IT environment supporting CNO Capabilities. This isn't a ticket-only role — we need someone who builds strong relationships, documents with precision, and actively looks for ways to improve how engineers work every day.
You will install, configure, and maintain cutting-edge high-performance compute hardware, including NVIDIA H100, H200, and B300 class accelerator platforms. You'll take the lead on uninstalling and relocating existing equipment to a government data warehouse while ensuring configuration integrity and maintaining proper tracking throughout the process. Your technical expertise will drive installation and sustainment efforts for both new and legacy hardware within the warehouse environment.
Beyond hands-on technical work, you will document installation procedures, configurations, and lessons learned to create repeatable, scalable deployment playbooks that make future efforts faster and more efficient. You'll develop strong working relationships with onsite System Administrators at the warehouse to streamline troubleshooting and escalate priorities when mission timelines require it. You'll identify gaps in support coverage and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and response time.
You'll partner directly with contract engineering teams to optimize system performance and user workflows, maintaining detailed technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures with clarity that allows another engineer to step in seamlessly. You'll support virtualization efforts and contribute to long-term IT modernization strategies. As mission requirements evolve, you'll adapt to support AWS, cloud integrations, and Large Language Model infrastructure.
