💡 About this Role

This is a front-row seat at the intersection of artificial intelligence and national security. As a Software Engineer on this program, you'll be building and advancing a cutting-edge agentic platform designed to power intelligent, autonomous workflows in complex operational environments. This isn't prototype work — you'll be developing and maintaining production-grade systems that real users depend on every day.

You'll work directly with cyber analysts to understand how they operate and translate those workflows into high-impact automation. You'll integrate diverse data sources and external APIs using MCP tools, build agentic capabilities using modern frameworks, and design real-time analytics pipelines that process and surface critical information at scale. If you're excited about shaping how AI agents operate, learn, and deliver impact in real-world environments, this role was built for you.

This position is based in Columbia, MD.


📋 Requirements

  • 3 years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency, or a B.S. in a technical discipline with the same; 7 years of experience may be substituted in place of the degree
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications that service hundreds to thousands of users
  • Strong understanding of AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling
  • Experience developing resilient, scalable stream processing applications using modern messaging and event-streaming platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and automation

🌟 Preferred Skills

  • Experience with agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration using frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, or DeepAgents
  • Background in cybersecurity or a working understanding of security operations workflows
  • Experience managing deployments in AWS Cloud with Kubernetes
  • GitLab CI/CD automation
  • Experience with retrieval systems, including RAG pipelines, vector databases, and semantic search
  • Familiarity with analyzing cybersecurity-related data sets such as network traffic and OS events
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
  • Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

💰 Salary Range

$197,500 – $232,500

This range includes our flex income and depends upon your annual work hours.

Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
